The Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is one of the strongest, most distinctive, and successful programmes in the country. Our core values are: to be professional, inspiring, responsive, and creative.

Students develop skills and portfolios required to undertake degree programmes in art and design. The creative projects studied allow students to experience a range of materials, processes, creative ideas, and technologies. This enables them to successfully identify and explore degree choices.

You will require 5 GCSEs at grades A*- C including English, Maths and Art plus A Level at grade C or above or a BTEC Level 3 Diploma at merit grade in a creative related subject.

Learners with Level 3 BTEC qualifications, National Diplomas, A-levels in non art and design-related subjects, or holding alternative qualifications, may be considered on an individual basis. Mature learner applications are welcome. Applicants who are short-listed will be subject to a portfolio interview. Please be aware that learners who wish to progress to an undergraduate course at many Universities will be required to have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above, including Mathematics and English language.
