About this course
All teaching and lectures are conducted in English and the following criteria may be required if English is not your first language: IELTS 6.5; TOEFL 550 on paper; TOEFL 213 on computer, or Cambridge FCE.

Length: 3 terms
Attendance Pattern: Full-time; Mon/Tue 10:00-15:00, Thu/Fri 10:00-17:00; Wed self directed study with facilities open to students. Hours sometimes extended for site visits and project presentation sessions.
Fees: £18350.00 (£15531.91 + VAT) Equipment package + student membership to SGD included in the fees.
Students are introduced to design method through mainly residential projects that increase in complexity as the course progresses. Lectures and site visits are balanced with hands-on practical projects in studio under the guidance of experienced professional designers.
Students are taught to approach problem solving in a professional manner using the Survey, Analysis, Design method. Core skills and understanding are developed through a comprehensive lecture programme arranged in modules covering design, design analysis, construction, planting, graphics and business practice. Contemporary visualisation skills, both manual and computer-based, are developed throughout the course enabling students to leave with a comprehensive portfolio and the confidence to enter the marketplace.
The course ensures a thorough training in garden design. Careers advice is given and Inchbald students have been developing successful garden design careers since 1976.
