Diploma in Hotel Management and Tourism London Thames College is an affiliate of the prestigious Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM), an exclusive awarding body in the discipline of hospitality management. This course is recognised by the London South Bank University.
 
London Thames College has added value to the OTHM course by offering additional, practical modules along with the theoretical course syllabus. These modules from LTC, such as food and beverage (F&B) and front-office (FO) are the core of hospitality operations and will equip a student to apply the skills and knowledge acquired for career progression. The entire course offers a dual-award with certificate awarded by OTHM as well as additional certificate by LTC upon successful completion of the programme.

Part II
o      Hospitality Accounting
o      Premises Management
o      Tourism and Hospitality Operations Management
o      Financial Management and Information Systems
o      Customer Relations and the Business Environment
o      Languages: Level II of at least one language including French, German, Italian, Spanish
 
 
Teaching and assessment
 
All modules are delivered through a combination of lectures, supervised tutorials, project work, assignments and periodic tests. Each module requires 45 hours of classroom teaching.
 
Entry Requirements
 
Students with OTHM certificate or equivalent certificate can enrol for the programme. Applicants with industrial experience will be preferred.


Course Duration: 18 Months (including six months placement)
