Overview
If you want to start a career in the Nail Industry, it is essential to have the correct training, to ensure your clients receive good service using appropriate health and safety procedures. This course offers you the skills required to work as a Nail Technician to Level 2 Standard. You will receive training in manicure, pedicure, nail art, nails and artificial structures, in addition to how to work in the industry; business practices, monitoring and maintaining stock levels.

Entry Requirements
Minimum of 2 GCSE D grades or above or Level 1 in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy with functional skills English and maths.

Course Duration
One year – Full time.

Course Assessment
As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. It may be in electronic or paper format. Evidence in the portfolio may take the following forms: Observed work Witness statements Audio-visual media Evidence of prior learning or attainment Oral questions Assignments Case studies

Progression
Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing, Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Specialists or Level 3 Diploma in Nail Treatments.
