Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification – it is available to anyone over the age of 16 that is interested in learning more about painting and decorating. However, you are likely to hold previous qualifications, such as the Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating, or have significant experience working in industry as a painter and decorator. You will be seeking to consolidate your skills and knowledge of the trade in order to progress to become a specialist in painting and decorating.

Course Duration
One year, full time.

Course Assessment
This course is assessed with practical modules, theory units, online exams and assignments.

Progression
This qualification helps prepare you for work in the construction industry, with a specific focus on painting and decorating. You are likely to progress on to study the Level 3 NVQ, either as part of an apprenticeship, or as a standalone qualification.
