Reviews
Course programme
The Diploma in Personal Training with Referred Populations has been designed for instructors wishing to work with a range of population groups who will directly benefit from a more active lifestyle. Despite the evidence that physical activity can improve the health of older adults, The Health Survey for England shows that only 17% of men and 13% of women over the age of 65 are managing to achieve the recommended level of physical activity as set out by the Chief Medical Officer. This could be for a variety of reason such as medical problems or lack of knowledge of exercise and gym programmes.
With this in mind Lifetime offers this industry recognized qualification, which will enable you to work with low-medium risk clients outside of a clinical setting as specified in the NHS Quality Assurance Framework for Exercise Referral Programmes. You will also get to learn about the interaction of exercise and specific diseases, develop your theoretical knowledge to include the ageing population among others, so you will be fully equipped and qualified to work within GP referral schemes.
Not only this, but you will also have access to your choice of two CPD workshops. So if a well rounded and highly sought after qualifications is what you are after, this is the one to do!
Upon successful completion you will gain the level 3 Diploma in Personal Training with Referred Populations.
This course is made up of 13 modules, you have the choice of 2 of the following; Group Studio Cycling, Circuits Solutions, Core Stability, Sports and Performance Nutrition and Functional and Sports Specific Training.
