Diploma In Plastering Level 1

It is expected that applicants will have a genuine interest in the Construction Industry.

Two GCSEs grades A-F including Maths and English. All applicants will be required to attend an interview to ascertain suitability for the course. All students will undertake initial assessments before starting the course.

This course will allow you to gain a foundation qualification in Plastering. There are 6 units of study :
-Know how to carry out safe working practices (1001)
-Knowledge of information, quatities and communicating (1002)
-Knowledge of building methods and construction technology (1003)
-Know how to prepare background surfaces and plaster materials (1011)
-Know how to apply plaster to internal backgrounds (1012)
-Know how to produce components from moulds (1013)

You will need to purchase suitable protective boots and overalls.

Information on their purchase will be given at interview.

The award is assessed in college workshops and classrooms and learners will be required to undergo an external knowledge test. Key Skills will also be studied.

After successful completion of your course you will be able to continue your studies on to the Intermediate Construction Award.
