Course programme
A range of units will be studied that enable learners to develop their vocational subject knowledge and understanding in preparation for further study at Level 3 including:
- Human Physiology
- Human Health and Disease
- The Sociology of Health
- Health Psychology
- Understanding Mental Health.
A range of units will also be studied that enable learners to develop a range of Personal and Academic skills that will support their further learning and help them reach their maximum potential, such as:
- Academic Writing
- Critical Thinking
- Information Literacy
- Research Skills
- Practical Presentation Skills.
- You will also have regular tutorials with your personal tutor to support your study.
You will study two full days (09:00-17:00) per week, plus, if required:
- half a day for GCSE English
- half a day for GCSE Maths
- one evening for GCSE Biology

There are no formal entry requirements. Your suitability for this course will be assessed at interview where you will sit a free writing test to demonstrate your literacy skills (e.g. grammar, spelling and punctuation).
