Course programme

Introduction

You will investigate management issues and mechanisms that must be deployed in real time to support relevant network topologies. In addition, you will gain an appreciation of a range of applications that provide distributed services and an understanding of security issues in distributed systems.

The programme is updated on a regular basis to reflect the rapid changes within the field of IT.

Dissertation/Work Related Project (WRP)

In this part of the course students get to put theory into practice. The WRP is a 15000-word essay on a topic related to an aspect of marketing management. The topic should be decided in consensus with the concerned lecturers and the Course Director.

Course Assessment

The course is assessed using a combination of course work assignment (30%) and an end of module examination (70%). On successful completion of the course, you will obtain 120 credits (6 x 20 credits).

Progression

Students completing the course may apply to UK universities for a place on their MBA programmes. Our students completing the programme have been accepted by many universities, including Heriot-Watt, Brunel, TVU, Middlesex and Leeds.
