Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)

Course Overview
The Diploma builds upon PTLLS (M2322) & CTLLS (M2320/M2321), qualifying teachers and trainers to practice in the Lifelong Learning Sector, i.e. further education, adult education & the voluntary sector.

This is a Higher Education Course awarded by Canterbury Christchurch University. Students will be required to produce assignments at Levels 4 & 5. Additional reading, research & academic writing skills will be expected.

• Philosophy & values underpinning post-compulsory education

Qualification Aims
Achievement of this qualification together with PTLLS and CTLLS will enable the holder to apply for full QTLS Teacher status, provided that they are qualified/ experienced in the subject that they wish to teach.

Progression may be available onto the Foundation Degree & BA Honours in Professional Studies.

Assessments/Examinations
Three modules, assessed by assignment & evidence of teaching practice.

Cost / Equipment
£640. For most students a grant is available to cover the fees.
