Diploma in Tourism Management (CTH)

The Diploma in Tourism Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international tourism industry, together with knowledge of the basic principles which underpin the industry.

Entry requirements:
The selection of students for courses at Diploma level is at the discretion of the educational establishment operating the course. No specific pre-qualifications are required, although it is desirable to have completed formal secondary education and to have at least English IELTS 5.0 level or equivalent.
All ten papers must be passed.

• The Tourism Industry
• Business Computing
• Travel Agency and Tour Guide Operations
• Introduction to Business Operations
• Finance for the Travel Industry
• Marketing.
PLUS:
• Fares & Ticketing Level 1
Virgin Atlantic/GTMC VA-1 or Star Alliance/
GTMC GA-1 (or equivalent)
• Fares & Ticketing Level 2*
Virgin Atlantic/GTMC VA-2 or Star Alliance/
GTMC GA-2 (or equivalent)
• Computer Reservations (GDS)**
Star Alliance/GTMC GA-PRO Professional.

Duration: 12 months.
Progression: CTH Advanced Diploma.
