Part TimeThe purpose of this qualification is to give learners working or intending to work in adult health or social care an understanding of dignity and safeguarding, their relevance in health care and social care and how they can work to uphold these key principles.This qualification aims to give learners knowledge and understanding of the key principles of dignity, duty of care and safeguarding as applied to adult health and social care. Learners will investigate the principles and how they are applied in everyday work contexts. They will also have an opportunity to examine the dilemmas that can arise and the consequences when these principles are not upheld.

As you work through the learning materials you will have the support of a knowledgeable assessor/tutor who will give you support, advice and guidance on the course content as well as providing robust feedback on the work you complete. Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care.
Due to the availability of government funding, this qualification is usually available at no cost. Funded places are limited and subject to availability so please book early to secure your place on this course. Funding is subject to learners meeting set eligibility criteria; this will be provided prior to the start of any course. A fee may be charged for candidates who withdraw from the course.
