The Doctor of Law Juris Doctor is a university doctorate in Law, which is usually earned by defence of the research thesis before the doctoral examinations committee (online). The programme is part of an international university collaboration of Universidad Azteca (Mexico) and UCN Universidad Central de Nicaragua.
The programme requires no additional course-work or attendance on campus of the university other than for the defence and the examination.
Dissertation and defence can be written and held in English or German .
Admission requirement is a first degree in law qualifying for admission to doctoral study, e.g. Magister, Licenciado, Master degree.
The awarding universities of the double degree doctorate are recognised and accredited in Mexico and Nicaragua.
Admissions are open all year, eligibility depends on both: first degree and submission of acceptable research proposal for the doctorate.
