  • Very informative, very friendly.
Great training and a lovely atmosphere, really helpful and I can't wait for my salon to be up and running after all the advice I got.
Amy is really understanding, especially when I got into a state over 'lamb chop legs'! She guided me in my own time and I learned so much!
Overall, I was really pleased and feel confident enough to go it alone!

Course programme

If your dream is to become a dog groomer, that's exactly what we'll help you do!

Over the duration of our 10 day diploma course, you'll learn practical, hands-on training from friendly, well-established grooming professionals using gorgeous doggie models. We'll train you how to groom any dog you meet.

You'll learn the tools of the trade, product suitability, handling, nail clipping, ear plucking and technical, breed-specific clips.

We'll also give you business advice including how to price for your services, how to get insurance (and what you need to insure against), how to record your client's details, where to buy equipment and how to maintain it, extending its workability. As a Paw Pad student you'll be eligible for discounts at major suppliers.

We remember what it's like when we first started grooming and how daunting it can be but, don't worry, will be here to ease you into your new career and support you if and when you need it after graduation.

Our classes are taught in a relaxed, non-pressured atmosphere and, because we take no more than 3 students at any one time, you can be sure you'll get our full attention. Because of this, please be aware our courses can book up quickly so get in touch soon...we'd love to hear from you.
