Course Details

Participants will:

  1. Develop the communication skills and confidence to identify, engage and support parents/carers who may be victims of domestic violence and abuse.
  2. Learn how to create an environment that will communicate that their setting is willing to tackle positively issues of domestic violence and abuse.
  3. Gain further insight into our roles and responsibilities in working with children and families, with particular reference to domestic violence and abuse.
  4. Explore relevant equalities issues when working with parents/carers who are victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Course Times: 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Payment options: Non-subsidised - £60 (per person) if: (a) you work in another part of the Children & Young People sector or (b) you work in a setting outside the Bristol Local Authority area.
