Course Overview

The DVA A&I one day training course aims to improve the quality of service for victims of domestic violence/abuse and their children & the quality of response to those who abuse their partners or ex/partners.

Objectives

  • To recognise Relate’s response to DVA in families to be part of a co-ordinated community response to DVA.
  • To develop counsellors’ skills in providing a couple intervention that maintains a focus on safety of vulnerable adults and their children.
  • To develop skill and understanding in providing individual Bridging to Safety and Bridging to Change work.
