Year 1:

  • Approaches to Performance and Screen Studies 1 and 2: Analysis and Grammar
  • Approaches to Poetry and
  • Approaches to Shakespeare or Contemporary Writing or Introduction to Old English

Year 2:

  • Approaches to Performance and Screen Studies 3 and 4: Critical and Generic Contexts
  • Literature 1 (1200-1500) followed by Literature 2 (1500-1700) or
  • Literature 1 (1200-1500) followed by special subject or
  • Special subject followed by Literature 2 (1500-1700)

Year 3:

  • Approaches to Performance and Screen Studies 5: Paradigms and Perspectives
  • Independent study through Dissertation or Essay and Practice or Practice Placement in the creative industries (subject to availability)
  • Literature 3 (1700-1830) followed by Literature 4 (1830-1945)
  • or Literature 3 (1700-1830) followed by special subject or Dissertation or
