Course programme
A TV and Drama Studio, large Performance Hall with state of the art lighting and sound system, sprung floor and audience seating for 100 and fully operational Radio Station make Drama and Theatre Studies A Level a very exciting prospect. The A Level introduces you to skills in a range of practical drama elements including acting, directing, costume, setting, mask and technical design. At AS students perform an extract from any play to illustrate their understanding of an influential director, designer, theatre company or other practitioner. At A2 Level candidates devise drama on any topic to be performed in a theatrical style of their choice. You will be required to attend live theatre performances which incur a cost.

A2 Level
- Further Prescribed Plays including Pre-Twentieth Century: Study Contrasting Plays & Respond to Questions
- Presentation of Devised Drama: Devise Performance Project
- AS to A level
- A Level progression to Degree level study such as HNC in Performing Arts at Craven College, Foundation Degree or BA (Hons)
- Careers could include: Actor, Director, Producing/Non-Producing Theatres, Theatre Company Roles/Festivals, Entertainment Industry eg Blackpool Dungeons or Overseas Work
