This class offers tuition in painting and drawing to all levels of ability.  The aim of the course is to help and encourage students, whatever their present stage of development, to develop both technically and imaginatively.

For the less experienced the emphasis will be on equipping them with the basic technical knowledge to then begin to explore their own imaginative potential.  This will initially take the form of exercises in observational drawing and painting, and then progress to projects designed to stimulate the imagination and experiment with the use of media.  Those that are more advanced will, at the outset be encouraged to initiate their own ideas and, with the support and advice of the tutor, to experiment with the use of media.  Those that are more advanced will, at the outset be encouraged to initiate their own ideas and, with the support and advice of the tutor, to experiment with media, technique and imagery.
