Upon completion of this course, delegates should be competent in the following skill areas: Fault recognition. Fault analysis. Approach and manner. Communication skills. Control of session. Feedback. Delegates will also take the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test on the final day of the course. Suitable for: Car, minibus and LGV drivers identified as capable of conducting assessments and with a proven defensive driving ability, usually following a RoSPA driver development course.

About this course
All delegates should have studied the most up-to-date copy of the Highway Code, making themselves aware of any changes in its requirements since their initial L-test training. They should also have also participated in some sort of further driver training already.

This course is tailored to the type of vehicle in which the delegate intends to conduct assessments, making it appropriate for all vehicle types.
The course will help to reduce the number of minor but costly accidents and incidents.

Course content includes:
- Half-day classroom presentation on the principles of defensive driving
- Vehicle inspection - demonstration and assessment drives
- Development of fault-finding, analysis and feedback techniques
- Continuous assessment and development of driving skills
This three-day course is available in-company or at RoSPA's training centre in Birmingham.
The course can be upgraded to a Level 3 BTEC Award in Advanced Driving.
