In this course we explore the characteristics of e-business, focusing on, e-business applications in business processes and communications, e-business models, in particular e-marketplaces and then e-business technologies.

Syllabus
Lesson 1: E-BUSINESS APPLICATIONS
We examine the impact of e-business in all aspects of a customer lifecycle, and investigate the role of e-business in many business processes, such as procurement and customer relationship management.
Lesson 2: INTRODUCTION TO E-MARKETS
In Lesson 2, we discuss on-line business-to-business marketplaces and explore some related models.
Lesson 3: MAIN TECHNOLOGIES
In Lesson 3, we provide an overview of the key technologies which underpin the implementation of an e-business solution, including basic content creation technologies such as HTML.
Lesson 4: INTER- AND INTRA-ORGANISATIONAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS
In Lesson 4 we examine how e-business solutions can enhance communication within and between organisations.
Study HoursThis is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
