Course programme

Modules Compulsory modules

You will study the following compulsory modules (60 credits):

  • NBS8263 Competing with IT
  • NBS8139 Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management: A Critical Exploration
  • NBS8321 Strategy, Management and Information Systems
  • NBS8322 E-Business
  • NBS8323 E-Commerce Start-up

You will choose a specialist compulsory module from the School of Computing Science (10 credits):

  • CSC8404 Advanced Programming in Java - suitable if you are confident about your knowledge of object-oriented programming

Or

  • CSC8406 Object-Oriented Programming - suitable if you have a basic knowledge of object-oriented programming

You also take the following specialist compulsory modules from the School of Computing Science (110 credits):

  • CSC8004 Networks and Web Technologies
  • CSC8202 Information Security and Trust
  • CSC8110 Cloud Computing
  • CSC8405 Research Methods for E-Business and Information
  • CSC8407 Dissertation

Modules might change for your year of entry.


Entry Requirements

Normally a 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in a discipline with computing content, such as:
