Course programme
e-type is a flexible and fun way to learn how to touch-type. Learners can develop at their own pace without any pressure, and even practise at home or work.
e-type is taught through ten structured lessons that follow a simple and logical sequence. There are clear instructions and the lessons are easy to understand and can be done at your own pace. As you progress you’ll get handy hints to help you improve. You can also take a break whenever you want and return to the point where you left off.
e-type is ideal if you require good, fast and accurate keyboard skills are essential in today’s world. Around 95% of business documents are now electronic and more communication now takes place via email than via the telephone. At school, pupils are using computers more than ever before and usage increases as pupils move on to Further and Higher education.
The e-type e-Learning material that teaches touch typing as part of the package.
There are different grades at which you can pass a test and receive a touch-typing Certificate, and these translate to a Level 1 Award or a Level 2 Award. The Grades ares awarded for a speed of at least 22 words per minute (wpm) and 98% accuracy and this will achieve the Level 1 Award. The 40 wpm and 60 wpm, both requiring 98% accuracy, will earn the Level 2 Award.
