Early onset Dementia care 3hrs

The purpose of this training is to provide to a group of staff an opportunity to explore early onset
dementia’s and the impact this has on the individual and social network.

Staff who work supporting individuals who have early onset dementia.

• Develop an Deeper understanding of the main types of early onset Dementia
• Pick, Korsakov, Alzhiemer, Huntingdon,
• Vascular dementias and brain injuries.
• Understand the processes involved in the brain and how they are
• affected by Dementia
• Lean more about the Frontal and temporal lobe
• Watch a short clip of personal experiences for younger adults
• Develop empathy for the problems associated with dementia at a younger age
• Ethical issues surrounding sexuality and personal boundaries
• Learn about treatments that are available
