Course programme
Sector Endorsed by the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC)
This is a programme written to support the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and to introduce students to the Early Years Professional Status. Students need to be employed within an early years setting and the course is delivered as a day release over one afternoon and evening per week, requiring minimal release from work. The course relies heavily on work-based learning and students apply and practise theory in the workplace and use their workplace experience in a range of assessment tasks.
The course is validated by Coventry University and all successful students have the opportunity to top up to BA (Hons) Early Years Care and Education, also validated by Coventry University, with just one further year of part-time study at Warwickshire College.
