To understand dysphagia and what can cause swallowing problems. To discuss the social aspects of eating and drinking and appreciate what it is like to be fed. To discuss ethical issues in relation to assisting someone to eat. Suitable for: All staff who have contact with service-users with swallowing problems.

Learning outcomes and objectives

Half day courses usually run from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. / 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
