The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is a Europe-wide qualification with which you can prove your competence in a range of computing skills to employers. ECDL Certificate Level 2
What will the course cover? (contents, themes, projects)
The ECDL Syllabus 4 is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, their practical applications and their use in the workplace and society in general. It is broken down into 8 modules. This course covers the final 5 modules which comprise Level 2:
  • Module 3 - Word Processing
  • Module 4 - Spreadsheets
  • Module 5 - Databases
  • Module 6 - Presentations
  • Unit E - Using IT
    You must have also completed Level 1 in order to obtain the ECDL certificate.
    What can I expect to achieve?
    By the end of the course you should be able to:
    On successfully completing the required modules you can be awarded: ECDL Certificate
    The BCS Level 2 Certificate for IT Users (ECDL Part 2)
    How will I be taught?
    Each student has their own computer.
    Presentations will be made using computers, whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes.
    Step by step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.
    Are there any other costs (e.g. certification, materials, equipment or books I need to buy before or during the course?)
    The non-refundable Examination Fee is included in the fee.
    You may wish to purchase a course book. The tutor will give suggestions about these.
