The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) course is ideal for anybody wanting to use common computer applications efficiently and productively. The course covers topics such as word processing, databases and spreadsheet management. The skills you'll learn with the ECDL will help you improve your confidence and productivity at work and allow you to show your proficiency in IT as it becomes increasingly important in the workplace.
The European Computer Driving Licence is an internationally recognised qualification demonstrating competence in computer skills, proving that you have the sought after skills to carry out tasks on a computer.

Your Test Centre will send your completed log book to BCS who will issue your certificate.

You will be required to register yourself at an accredited Test Centre, where a logbook will be issued which is used to maintain a formal record of your success in the various tests and where you will be able to take the exam. (Please note the exam and logbook fees are additional to course fees.) The programme is broken down into seven modules, each of which must be passed, in any order, before an ECDL certificate is awarded. To gain your ECDL certificate you must pass one theoretical and six practical tests and complete the log book. This course is completed totally online and therefore no printed workbooks will be required; all your study materials will be available via our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) accessible via the internet. You will be provided with a unique login and password. You will be able to monitor your progress throughout your course on the VLE. Assessment throughout the course will be by completing online assignments, answering questions and completing an online end test; for all of these you will get immediate online results and feedback.
