The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership is designed to recognise occupational competence for anyone with a supervisory or leadership role in the hospitality industry. To achieve the Diploma, you must demonstrate competence when working in a real hospitality workplace. The qualification covers:
• Leadership
• Working Relationships and Customer Service
• Resource Control
• Health, Safety and Hygiene
In addition, a range of optional units are available in Food Production, Food and Drinks Service, Management of Functions, Housekeeping, Portering and Concierge, Reception and Reservation and Bookings, Generic Management responsibilities and Customer Service.

About this course
This framework will act as an entry and progression route for new staff in the sector and to up skill existing staff.
Advanced Apprentices will work in roles such as:
• Team Leader in Hospitality Retail Outlets
• Head Housekeeper
• Head Receptionist
• Supervisor of Hospitality Retail Outlet
• Manager in hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars and clubs.
There are no formal qualifications required to complete this course as all training is provided.

Qualifications are delivered in the workplace, so assessors will visit you on a monthly basis with your employer to undertake work towards this qualification.

Course programme
To achieve the EDI Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership, learners must achieve 37 credits in total.
- 23 Credits must be from mandatory Group A
- At least 4 Credits must be from Optional Group A1
- The remaining credits must come from Optional Groups A1 or B1
Mandatory Units (Group A):
- Unit 1 – Set Objectives and Provide Support for Team Members
- Unit 2 – Develop Working Relationships with Colleagues
- Unit 3 – Contribute to the Control of the Resources
- Unit 4 – Maintain the Health, Hygiene, Safety and Security of the Working Environment
- Unit 5 – Lead a Team to Improve Customer Service
