Education and Training (A.E.T) Level 3

The qualification is on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

Formally known as the PTLLS, this Level 3 Award is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions, and how to assess and give constructive feedback.

What can I do next?

On completion you may wish to progress on to the Certificate in Education and Training, or the Diploma in Education and Training or Certificate in Education. At present these qualifications are not offered on-line.

This Award comprises of the three following units which total 12 credits:

• Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training (3 credits)


• Understanding and using inclusive approaches in education and training (6 credits)


• Understanding assessment in education and training (3 credits)

Course delivery

The course will be delivered over a 12 week period. You will attend Doncaster College for three sessions between 5:30 and 8:30pm. Nine sessions will be delivered through an online learning model with access to tutorials and email support.
