The Award in Education and Training is the threshold qualification for anyone wanting to teach in a wide range of settings including the Further Education and Skills Sector, workplace learning, offender learning and adult community contexts. The qualification is a direct replacement for the Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (2011). As with the qualification it replaces, it continues to be based around preparing and delivering a micro-teach session.
