To develop individual staff and the schools/educational institutions of which they are a part. Suitable for all staff and allows students to choose modules from each strand. For those staff who wish to remain as 'teachers in the classroom' or for staff who want to develop deeper insights into aspects of teaching and learning. For those staff who are currently involved at a 'leadership and management' level in their institutions or who are intending to follow that career option.

About this course

A good Honours degree or degree equivalent or substantial experience in an appropriate educational or related field. e.g. Nurse Educator, FE Lecturer or Educational Administrator Non-graduates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) will be considered if they have a Diploma in Education and/or substantial teaching experience.

We welcome applications from students with ethnically diverse backgrounds, students returning to education and international students. We also support widening participation and encourage applicants with non-standard qualifications.

Teaching/learning methods and strategies

For the full time MA, attendance at the evening modules will be required for the taught aspects of the course along with additional tutorial sessions with designated tutors during the day.

Assessment

Assessment is via assignments either during or at the end of each module and by the final Dissertation.
