Training and Development Diploma - Effective Meetings
This
course will provide those workers who are required to attend meetings, or
to chair them, with a detailed understanding of the importance of meetings
to a business or organisation and the need for all attendees to be active
participants. It will identify the factors involved in successfully
chairing a meeting and equip those required to do so with the knowledge to
do this successfully. Information is also provided on minutes and how to
take them. The aim of this course is to provide the individual with
detailed knowledge of the factors involved in holding effective business
meetings and to understand the roles and contributions of all
participants. The objectives of this course are to understand what
effective meetings are and why they are important to a business, recognise
the necessity to prepare thoroughly for a meeting, describe the
chairpersons role in managing meetings effectively, define the roles and
duties of all participants, understand the importance of minutes and know
how to take them, understand what is meant by meeting follow up and why it
is necessary, identify and address the causes of attendee non
participation.
