Effective presentations

  • If you don't know how to start preparing a technical presentation ...
  • If you are tempted to present 'all you know about' ...
  • If you read your script and then fail to control your speed ...
  • If you don't know how or when to use visual aids ...
  • If you can't build a rapport with your audience ...
  • If you dread the very idea of presenting your technical information in person ...

If you have any of these doubts about your ability to talk effectively to an audience, you will benefit from a Jove Centre Effective Presentations course.

The Benefits

You will be helped, individually and as part of a group, by experienced tutors. Practical work includes the opportunity to rehearse with one to one help and guidance, as well as speaking to the group as a whole. Your presentation may be recorded, and a video of your performance and the analysis which followed sent to you to remind you of the techniques you practised.

The objectives of this short course are to help and encourage delegates to:

  • identify their audience, and the company's objectives
  • select and structure the material in a way which maximises the impact on the audience
  • prepare and use notes and visual aids to support their message
  • use voice and body language effectively to build a rapport with the audience
  • speak confidently and successfully for themselves and their organisations

All Jove Centre courses are developed in collaboration with clients.
