Course Description
Presenting effectively is a key skill in modern business life, whether you speak to colleagues, other teams in your company, or you represent your organisation externally. Presenting can also be stressful. The secret to a successful presentation is careful preparation, knowing your audience and their expectations, having the right message for your audience, and rehearsal.
This course helps presenters create and practise presentations that are clear, effective and memorable. It will focus on knowing your audience thoroughly, identifying the right message, and making sure it hits home. Delegates will examine how to keep their audience's interest and attention throughout the presentation, by using their voice, body language, structure, and visuals effectively. In addition, they will practise keeping control and handling questions. The course will be active, practical and fun, and delegates will have the opportunity to present at least three times, and receive feedback on their performance.
What delegates will gain from the course:
- the opportunity to examine their presenting strengths, and get feedback on their performance
- the chance to work on their weaknesses, and to practise different ideas and tips to further improve their presentations
- greater confidence in making memorable and interesting presentations
- return to the workplace with a well- rehearsed presentation that can be implemented immediately
