Studying electrical and electronic engineering will prepare you for a vast range of exciting careers, equipping you with technical engineering skills as well as technology, communication and design expertise.   We’ll train you up in more than a dozen industry-standard software packages and provide you with access to industry-standard engineering equipment in our CAD, electronics and engineering laboratories.   Electronics continue to have a major influence over every aspect of our daily lives. Electrical and electronic engineers are essential to the management and development of every day domestic items - TVs, radios, white goods, new ‘green’ technology devices - and also to specialised devices in industry.

You will investigate the theory of electrical and electronic engineering and then apply your learning in practice, developing skills in CAD, computer application business management and project management. Specialist topics you will study include analogue and digital electronics, software design, digital signal processing, control engineering, microprocessors, radio systems and industrial control systems.   You can also choose to study this course as a foundation year BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering (4 years including foundation year) UCAS Code:  159F

Year 1 (Level 4)
