About this course
Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. A GCSE in both English, maths, science and one other subject at grade 4 (C) or above is required.
Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Course programme
Year 1
The course will include a balance between the understanding of theory and principles and their application in a practical environment, You will study a range of specialist electrical and electronic subjects including electronic devices, electrical principles, measurement and testing, micro-controllers and mathematics. Incorporated into your study you will learn how to design, build and test electronic circuits, run simulations and program microprocessor circuits.
Year 2In year two, you will undertake a large project which will incorporate knowledge gained across the range of subjects studied, together with electronic fault-finding, electrical technology, analogue electronics, further electrical principles, electrical machines and further mathematics.
