Our Electrical Installation Team provides a wide range of electrical courses to support industry needs.

We offer you as an employer the opportunity to update your employees existing skills to an industry recognised qualification level. We can either tailor a course to suit your company needs or enrol your staff onto a pre-determined course run by the college.

Our training specialists deliver a high quality learning experience ensuring that course content is kept up to date with ever changing industry needs, standards and legislation.

Valuable hands-on experience of current materials and installation techniques can be gained where appropriate, and our programmes provide up to date knowledge of working practices and regulations together with courses that support underpinning knowledge for "Part P" requirements and registration.

These qualifications give the underpinning knowledge in electro technology and safety, essential for anyone planning a career in this industry. The programme combines general electro technical facts with a series of optional units.

An evening open programme at the college is also available.

C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing

This qualification conforms to the NICEIC'S requirement that soon-to-be qualifying managers and operatives fully appreciate and conform with the requirements of BS7671 for inspection, testing and certification of electrical installation.

C&G 2382 17TH Edition Wiring Regulations

This qualification is designed for practising electricians with relevant experience, and is intended to make certain that they conform to the content, format and applications of Electrical Installations BS7671 requirements.

Topics covered are selection and erection of equipment, protection for safety, and inspection and testing to meet the IEE Wiring Regulations standard.

C&G 2377 Portable Appliance Testing

This qualification has been put together to make certain that practising electricians are accustomed with the use of the Institute of Electrical Engineer's Code of Practice for inspection and testing of in-service electrical equipment.

HNC in Contracting Management

A two year, part-time course designed specifically for project/contracts managers currently working in the electrical contracting and the construction industry. The course is focused on the specific needs of the industry and will provide you with the requisite knowledge, concepts, techniques and skills required to enable you to fulfil effectively your existing and future managerial responsibilities.
