Course Description
This programme is part of the Buildings Glasgows Young People funded under the European Social Fund, as such all applicants must reside within the city of Glasgow postcode designated area. This course is intended to provide students with an introduction to the world of Electrical Installation. It is primarily aimed at those who wish to develop their interest in the field of Electrical Engineering which could offer the opportunity to enter a career in the electrical industry.

Hours per week: 21 hours

Course Content
Electrical Safety; Fundamental Electrical Principles; Basic Electrical Installation Systems and Protection; Basic Electrical Installation Skills; Basic Numeracy; Communications; IT Skills; Work Experience.

Progression
Progression to an Industry Training Scheme for the Electrical Contracting Industry. Further full time/part time study at College.
