Course programme
The three-year BEng degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering gives a broad education in the subject with an individual project in the final year. Our courses will involve you in all aspects of designing modern electronic systems, from theoretical aspects to the hardware and software that enable so much of the technology we have today. The degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and is committed to developing high calibre graduates with the analytical and problem solving skills required for employment in Engineering as well as a diverse range of fields including finance and consultancy services. To achieve the requirement for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status a one-year MSc degree following the BEng programme is required.
All the degree programmes have a common first and second year which cover material fundamental to Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Students specialise in their third and fourth years according to individual degree programme and it is possible for students to switch between programmes (with the exception of the International Programme) at any time up to the end of their second year.
