Course Description
This programme is in line with the new SQA national framework. It is intended to provide students with both the theory and practical skills necessary to become an Electronics Technician.

Preferred Entry Requirements
An appropriate NC OR Higher Mathematics or Physics or Technological Studies or 2 related Intermediate 2 awards OR other relevant qualifications and experience. Entry by informal interview.

Active Electronic Circuits; Business Awareness & Continuing Professional Development; Electrical Networks And Resonance; Electronics: Graded Unit 2; Fundamentals Of Control Systems And Transducers; High Level Engineering Software; Information Technology: Applications Software; Mathematics For Engineering 2; MCU/MPU/I/O Hardware Control ; MSI Devices; Power Electronics; Power Supply Circuits; Programmable Logic Devices; Transmission Lines And Complex Waves.
