This short programme provides an overview of how electronic fuel injection copes with the demands of a modern engine, whilst lowering emissions, improving fuel economy and maintaining performance.

To enable manufacturers to comply with stricter emissions regulations, electronic fuel injection is becoming highly sophisticated.

Programme content: EFI principles; Fuel supply; Air induction; EFI control; EFI components; EFI circuitry.

The Automotive Department has excellent workshops, classrooms and dedicated diagnostic facilities.

This programme is designed for experienced vehicle technicians working in the motor industry who wish to enhance their knowledge of modern electronic fuel injection. It is suitable for technicians with both limited and in-depth knowledge as a large majority of the information covered can be tailored to individual needs. Quality assured awards (QAA) allow specific subject areas to be taught and certified by the Institute of the Motor Industry Awards Ltd., helping technicians maintain a level of continuing professional development.
An IMIAL (Institute of Motor Industry Awards Ltd.) quality assured award (QAA) in the recognition of electronic fuel injection systems.
Candidates will be subject assessed on the day of the programme and successful candidates will be notified on the day.
