About this course

Suitable for: Producers, Artist and DJs. 16 yrs and over.

Entry requirements 4 GCSEs grade C or above - one must be English or Maths

Equivalent to 3 A-Levels and will earn you the UCAS Points needed to go on to University Study

You will develop your personal, business and management skills to give you everything you need to make your mark on the music industry. In the 21st Century music technology is a serious career, and this course will get you started on the career path you've always dreamed of. You will look at how the music industry works and how to get employment in it with a focus on how to market and promote yourself in the music industry in a course that is lead by teachers with first hand industry experience.

Course programme

A more specific music technology program which looks at electronic music production skills including sequencing, mixing, effects, fundamental studio recording techniques, music and sound for moving image and composing music. Equipment knowledge will cover everything from microphones and mixing desks through to samplers, hardware controllers and software. You will work with many software packages including Logic Studio, Pro Tools, Reason, Ableton Live, Ozone Mastering Suite and Native Instruments Komplete.You will also develop DJ skills and techniques; this course is designed for producers, artists and DJs.
