Emergency First Aid
Emergency First Aid

This course is a one day Emergency First Aid Course suitable for any industrial area and for the Appointed Person in the workplace.

This is accredited by Emergency First Response and is certificated for 2 years. 

The course can be amended to adapt to any industry if held on site with a minimum of 6 delegates. Recent adpations have included chainsaw injuries for the aboriculture industry, construction industry, schools and colleges etc.

The course covers the following topics:

  •    Protective Barriers


  •    CPR and Rescue Breathing


  •    Unconscious patient


  •    Conscious Patient


  •    Recovery position


  •    Choking Adults


  •    Severe Bleeding


  •    Shock Management


  •    Spinal Care


  •    Heat related injuries


  •    Illness assessment


    The course consists of a full day of practical activities involving group and pair working with lots of practical demonstrations and time for delegates to practice their skills with the support of the instructor.

    All first aid instructors are highly skilled in dealing with a diverse range of people.

    Courses can be held on own premises if facilities are suitable and minimum of 6 delegates, or open courses are held every month at our faciltiies in Leicester. Our facilities are non-smoking, easy access, on site parking and suitable for those with mobility restrictions.

    Just Training (East Midlands) Limited is an HSE Approved First Aid at Work training facilitiy that offers a wide range of first aid and other health and safety related courses.

    Our Accrediting Body is Emergency First Response, one of the Worlds largest training organisations, providing global instructor training.

    We are located in Leicester with training facilities situated approximately 5 minutes from the junction of the M1/M69. We have easy access, on site free parking and on site catering facilities.

    Each delegates on a first aid course receives a full colour high quality manual and those attending First Aid at Work courses receive a free travel first aid kit.

    All instructors are highly qualified and experienced in providing emergency care. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing learning environment for all of our students.

    Course provider history
    Over 15 years experience in the training industry and over 6 years training in First Aid with Emergency First Response. Lead Instructor Andrea Speak has extensive experience in emergency first aid in a range of different environments including remote rescue and in-water rescue. All instructors and assessors are all qualified through Emergency First Response and are subject to annual monitoring by EFR - the only organisation to provide this service.
