This Qualification is ideal for those already working, or operating to work, within industry who wish to become an Emergency first aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and safety regulations 1981. Subjects covered include incident management, dealing with shock, dealing with an unconscious casualty, CPR and minor injuries.

Our 'Emergency First Aid at Work' course is new to Northern Ireland and has the following learning outcomes:
1. Understand the role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
2. Know how to assess an incident
3. Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
4. Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
5. Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
6. Manage a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
7. Manage a casualty who is in shock
8. Understand how to manage a casualty with a minor injury
This course does not replace the Fist aid at Work 3 day course but enables smaller organisations to comply with their duty to provide a limited life saving response to staff and customers. The course is priced at £139.99 and includes learning materials, assessment and certification which lasts for 3 years.
