Emergency First Aid at Work

All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their causalities in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

 Responsibilities and Reporting
 Assessment of the Situation
 Dealing with unresponsive casualty
 Basic hygiene in First Aid
 Resuscitation
 Heart Attack
 Minor Injuries
 Bleeding control
 Medical Conditions
Certification - Ongoing assessment by the tutor and the certification is valid for 3 years for those candidates who satisfy the criteria. The HSE strongly recommend that all holders of the qualification undergo a 3 hour refresher programme annually
