FIRST AID & CPR

The Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations (1981) require that an Employer provides suitable arrangements for rendering First Aid to persons injured at work.

Course Content

• What is First Aid?

• Emergency First Aid in the Workplace

• Responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider Breathing & Circulation

• Principles of Resuscitation Disorders of Respiration & Circulation

• Wounds & Bleeding On completion of the course, delegates will be able to:

• Render Emergency First Aid & CPR to an injured person, until medical assistance is available.

• Recognise and appropriately treat most emergency situations.

INFECTION CONTROL

This course has been designed for those delegates who work within a health sector environment.

It explains the need to be aware of the issues surrounding infection risks, how to minimize risks of infections, how to prevent cross contamination and understanding the implications surrounding the maintenance of a hygienic environment.

On completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
