Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate

The Title EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) a non protected title in the UK at the moment and can be interpreted in many different ways. This results in an inconsistency of the care provided by those claiming to hold the Title due to the variety of non IHCD training courses available.
This said it does not mean that because a person has not completed full ambulance technician training certified by the IHCD that they have no right to be called an EMT however when choosing to train and work as one you should look for courses that provide skills and development suitable for the area of care you wish to work. 

Putting aside the 3 basic Courses on offer for a minute EMTI, EMTCP and Ambulance aid courses, all included with a team membership.
