Understand & recognise key signs of feelings (rackets & authentic) using Transactional Analysis theory. Identify the 4 primary feelings & understand the 'feelings wheel'. Recognise blocks in society's communication & feelings. Suitable for: This one day course is suitable for all childcare professionals at every professional level within social services, health, education, early years, youth offending/youth justice teams, fostering and adoption, private and voluntary sectors, community, and the police.

About this course

The only requirement for this course is that participants are childcare professionals. You will need between 12 and 25 delegates to run this course.

ABOUT THE COURSE
This course offers knowledge and strategies that are highly transferable into everyday practice, especially for those working with children and young people that have behaviour difficulties that may be linked to this subject.

This course will provide you with a significant amount of knowledge about emotional literacy, and offers professionals additional skills which will be transferable within your existing practice.

This course is suitable for all workers at every professional level and is presented as a workshop. Participants will be actively engaged in the learning process which will be stimulating and fun.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Have a full awareness of emotional literacy and understand its importance within practice.
  • Gain insight of how emotional literacy is a gateway to resolving problems in a positive and constructive way.
  • Gain an understanding and recognition of the key signs of feelings (rackets and authentic) using Transactional Analysis theory.
  • Be able to identify the four primary feelings and be able to understand the use of the 'feeling wheel'.
  • Understand blocks in society around communication and feelings.
  • Be able to gain strategies for working with anger.


    On completion of the course delegates are provided with course materials and are awarded a certificate. The training will commence at 9:30am and finish at 3:30pm. This course runs with a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 25 delegates.

    Support: This course is charged at £80 per person + VAT. We can train between 12 and 25 delegates on this course. Our trainer will travel to your local area to deliver the course at a venue of your choice. You will be responsible for organising and paying for the venue, catering, and our trainer's accommodation. We will organise our trainer's travel arrangements and add this cost to your invoice.
    Payment options: Price: £80 per person + VAT. We will need between 12 and 25 delegates to run this course.
