What can I expect to achieve?
By the end of the course you should be able to:
Review the main provisions and constraints imposed by existing employment legislation.
Identify the rights individual employees have within the workplace.
Establish best practice in establishing and changing terms and conditions of employment.
Identify the main legislation relating to discrimination in the workplace and identify best practice in recruitment and selection.
State how to avoid unfair dismissal and how management practice and procedures can best contribute to this aim.
Identify new and forthcoming employment legislation, including the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 and the Work and Families Act 2006.
